I sing this one with the awareness that it is a huge privilege to have loving community, food from the garden, and clean rivers rolling free. Not all of the rivers I love are rolling free and depending on where they are and what's washing into them, not all of them are safe for swimming or drinking. Some are drying up as the climate continues changing and companies continue bottling water for profit. Still, I am deeply grateful that I have access to land to grow food and enough resources to buy fresh food from local farmers. And I truly am surrounded by local and extended community that inspires me. I don't know where we're going, but I certainly hope we're on path to collective liberation and healing from all the ways we have been disconnected from each other and the Earth.
