After a bliss filled Song Village, my partner and I were driving through the heat of California on our way back to Oregon without air conditioning. It did not take long for our bliss to turn into frustration and impatience. When we stopped the car to switch drivers, this prayer came out. It was a prayer for the moment that came with the awareness that if I am behaving this way with someone I deeply love who is so often supportive of me, I have a lot of work to do to become the person who can stand in the fire of conflict and be the love I want to see in the world.
